Our nurses often perform more patient care tasks than any other medical staff members. Our nurses carry out the instructions of doctors, dispenses medication, takes vital signs, operates some medical equipment, perform Oasis – evaluation, and directly cares for patients. Nurses do not generally diagnose conditions, but may report patient symptoms or changes in patient conditions to doctors.
Some of our nurses may also have some administrative duties. The Director of Nursing and Clinical Supervisor oversee other nurses in the field. Nurses in a managerial or supervisory role may schedule nursing shifts or conduct performance reviews. In other settings, it is possible for a nurse to have very different responsibilities. As a public health nurse, our skilled nurses specialize in education of the public regarding certain diseases and their prevention, performing wound care and administering injections.
